Summer is here and the vibes in Rowayton are as hot as the July heat!
Shakespeare On The Sound, held once again at Pinckney Park was phenomenal. The stage, the lighting, and of course the acting was just superb – one of the best productions in years!
Likewise, the River Ramble held on July 11th was again Rowayton at it’s finest! This annual tradition, sponsored by the RCA, brought the community together for a day of fun, sun and festivity along the river’s edge at Pinkney Park. For the kids there were plenty of games and activities, not mention the ever-popular dunk tank and the Ducky Derby. For the adults there was a huge variety of local vendors, a live auction and much more. Once again people chilled at the famous raw bar, ate burgers and dogs by the water and washed it all down with a cold beer or soda. Young and old, it seemed as though the entire town was there.
If you missed either of these two events – no worries! The Rowayton Summer Music Concert Series is still in full swing and will be cranking out tunes each Sunday until the end of the summer. The RCA has assembled a wonderful array of performers from all over the country. Ten shows will feature rock, reggae, R&B, jazz, folk and more. It’s an exciting line-up, so keep your Sunday afternoons open for fantastic live music and family fun!
As if all of that isn’t enough to make you want to live in Rowayton – tune in to this; Rowayton real estate is rocking! Over the last 6 months there have been 14 closed real estate transactions in Rowayton – half of which took place in the last two months. Furthermore, it seems that the median sales price of recent transactions has risen, and the amount of time it has been taking to sell a home is on the decline. All of this news is great if you are thinking about selling your home, but it still reinforces that now is a great time to buy before the market begins to climb.
