Fall Activities In and Around Darien CT
Now that September has begun, vacationing families have returned to Darien in time for kids to begin school. Even though summer vacations will soon become a fading memory, September is a great month for outdoor activities in Darien and Fairfield County Connecticut. Not only do we typically experience beautiful sunny days and warm water temperatures in September making beach going a great weekend activity, but there are also many festivals, concerts and other fun events planned throughout the month. In addition to sneaking in a few final trips to Weed and Pear Tree Beach, make sure you hit some of these great local events before the cooler temps set in!
- Visit Norwalk’s Oyster Festival on September 11 – 13th
- Stroll through Stamford Arts & Crafts on Bedford festival on September 12 – 13th
- Participate in the 30th Annual Darien Road Race on Sunday September 20th at 1pm 10K or 1.5 mile road race
- Taste some great bbq at Westport’s 2nd Annual BBQ Festival on September 26th -27th
- Remember to visit Darien’s Farmer’s market and pick up some fresh produce every Wednesday from 11am – 6pm
Darien not only offers these great community events, but also many wonderful homes new to the real estate market. For all of you first time home buyers, now is a great time to get out of your rentals and purchase your first home in one of Darien Connecticut’s family friendly neighborhoods. Remember the $8,000 first time home buyer’s tax credit expires on November 30th so hurry and take advantage of this opportunity and buy your first home in a great town!
