Now that September has begun, vacationing families have returned to Darien in time for kids to begin school. Even though summer vacations will soon become a fading memory, September is a great month for outdoor activities in Darien and Fairfield County Connecticut. Not only do we typically experience beautiful sunny days and warm water temperatures in September making beach going a great weekend activity, but there are also many festivals, concerts and other fun events planned throughout the month. In addition to sneaking in a few final trips to Weed and Pear Tree Beach, make sure you hit some of these great local events before the cooler temps set in!
- Visit Norwalk’s Oyster Festival on September 11 – 13th
- Stroll through Stamford Arts & Crafts on Bedford festival on September 12 – 13th
- Participate in the 30th Annual Darien Road Race on Sunday September 20th at 1pm 10K or 1.5 mile road race
- Taste some great bbq at Westport’s 2nd Annual BBQ Festival on September 26th -27th
- Remember to visit Darien’s Farmer’s market and pick up some fresh produce every Wednesday from 11am – 6pm
Darien not only offers these great community events, but also many wonderful homes new to the real estate market.
